Donna Jean Robertson, of Sheridan, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2022 in Columbus, Texas. She was born to Aaron and Leona (Davis) Slate on July 31, 1932 in Bend, Oregon. She married John Richard Robertson on July 29, 1950.
Donna worked as a caretaker and companion for several people over the years. Over the years she worked for Rexall pharmacy, a bakery and the post office. Her hobbies included doing yardwork, shopping and gambling. She greatly enjoyed researching her family tree as an amateur genealogist. Her favorite thing was apple fritters. She will be most remembered for her kindness to others.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Leona Slate; husband, John Robertson; three brothers and five sisters.
Donna is survived by sons, Dave Robertson and wife Patsy of Sheridan, TX, and John Robertson of Mount Shasta, CA; daughters, Sharon Henderson of Bend, OR and Teresa Robertson of Hillsboro, OR; grandchildren, Trish Orgis, Kayla Robertson, Holly Shears, Nicole Robertson and Shannon Robertson Wing; four great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Anderson of Portland, OR, Pauline Robeck of Bend, OR and Ginger Achtenberg of Lapine, OR.
A visitation will be on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home, 105 NW Irving Ave., Bend, OR 97701. A private burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
