Annie Liza was the daughter of Benny Gray and Rosa Shelton Gray. She attended Pine Grove CME Church in Culloden, Georgia as a youth. As an adult, she joined Mt Airy Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board and as Church Treasurer for over 50 years and prepared Holy Communion until her health failed.
She was married to Clinton Jones Sr on February 2, 1952. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Elijah Jones and 2 uncles, Brent Shelton and Robert Shelton.
Survivors:
3 Daughters: Mattie Mae Jones Hammond, Helen Jones Allen and Brenda Jones.
1 Son: Clinton Jones Jr(Almetha).
8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11AM in the Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery in Forsyth, Georgia.
