--------GOOD MOTHER JOINS IN NUMBER ABLE THRONG ---------
The Passing of Mrs. Daniel Sease at her home in Jefferson last Friday brought sorrow to the hearts of many old friends in Scranton and community. Mrs. Sease had spent most of her life in this vicinty and was widely known here as a true and good woman in all the relations of life. A multitude of old Scranton friends and neighbors profoundly mourn her passing and extend affectionate sympathy to the bereaved husband and family.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church in
Scranton, Monday at 2 p.m. by the pastor, Rev. J. S. Ellis. Interment was made in the Scranton cemetery.

Among those from abroad in attendance at the funeral were : Monroe and Floyd Goodyear, of Hampton, Iowa, a brother and grandson; and F.H. McCulloch, of Austin, Minnesota, a brother-in-law.

Lettie May Goodyear, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Goodyear, was born in Paw Paw, Illinois, Oct. 12, 1862, and passed away at her home in Jefferson, Iowa, Feb. 27, 1931 at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 15 days.

She moved from Illinois to Scranton, Iowa with her parents in young childhood. On March 13, 1883, she was united in marriage to Daniel Sease, to this union were born seven daughters and five sons . One infant daughter, Hazel having preceded her mother in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Sease made their home near Scranton until 1911 when they with their family moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, where they lived six years, after which time they returned to Scranton and about a year ago moved to Jefferson where they have made there home ever since.

She united with the Methodist Church at Scranton in girlhood and has remained a true Christian whose presence will be greatly missed in her home and community.

She leaves to mourn their great loss, her husbsnd, the sons and daughters whose names are as follows : Mrs. Essie Sharr, of Hinton, Iowa; Percy of Genoa, Colorado ; Conrad of Rolfe, Iowa ; Raymond of Otho,Iowa : Ben of Jefferson, Iowa ; Mrs. Gladys Yocum of Willow springs
Missouri ; Mrs. Cornelia Reberry of Scranton, Iowa ; Mrs. Berdena Fawkes, of Otho, Iowa ; Eva Sease of Jefferson, Iowa ; Mrs. Mary Anderson of Scranton, Iowa, and Henry of Jefferson, Iowa ; a brother Monroe Goodyear of Hampton, Iowa and a sister, Mrs. Luella McCulloch of Austin,
Minnesota, thirty-seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, besides other relatives and friends.
