Laura Elaine Weinmann, age 70 of Grove City, died April 5, 2022 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Grove City, following a three year battle with lung cancer and COPD. She was born May 14, 1951 in Columbus, the daughter of Dewey H. and Ruth M. (Gardiner) Lewis. On July 18, 1999 she married Ric Weinmann in Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. All together they spent 36 fun filled years! In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by: grandmother Effie Lewis; mother and father-in-law Jack and Nina Weinmann; sister-in-law Kathy Brogdon; granddaughter Joey Weinmann and close friends: Mike and Lily Talik. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Ric Weinmann; children: Nikki (Dan) Rood-Pardew, Jodi Hacker, Josh (Mallory) Weinmann, Kim (Justin) Russell; grandchildren: Austin Cole, Haylie Sprouse, Jakob Hacker, Jenna (Flea) Hacker, Cade Weinmann, Kamryn Rood, Kaylynn Rood, Dakota Pardew and Daisy Pardew; great grandchildren: Sammy Waugh and Korra Findley; sister Nancy Amon; Brother-in-law Paul Brogdon; as well as aunts, uncles and numerous close friends.

Laura retired from Abbot Laboratory after 25 years. She was an active member of Grove City Church of the Nazarene. She was involved in many volunteer projects at the Church and outside organizations.

Laura and Ric enjoyed riding their Harley with good friend Fred Williamson. They visited 48 of the 50 states of the United States. After they retired their Harley, they enjoyed spending time at home with their dogs and hanging out on the front porch talking with friends and neighbors. Laura also enjoyed her Tuesday night Bible Study and volunteering with dear friend of 47 years Debbie Gwinn at Jordan's Crossing. On May 13, 2019, just two months after being diagnosed with lung cancer on March 8, Laura hiked halfway up Spencer Butte in Eugene Oregon, a feat she was extremely proud of!

Laura loved giving to others and seeing them smile. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and talking – she never met a stranger! She had a strong Christian faith and loved the Lord. The number of lives she touched is unmeasurable!

Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and anyone else that was involved in her care and treatment at Mt. Carmel Grove City and other facilities. We also want to thank everyone for their daily check-ins and prayers. Although we wish Laura was still with us, we are at peace knowing the she is with Our Heavenly Father and we will see her again.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday May 14. Details to be forthcoming. The family suggests Memorial contributions be made to a charity of non-profit of your choice in memory of Laura.
