Stephen Earl Wilson, age 75 of Hebron, died Friday April 8, 2022 at home following a brave battle with cancer. He was born December 11, 1946 in Columbus, the son of the late Clarence Ephran and Mary Leona (West) Wilson. On May 20, 2020 he married Martha Lynn (Mattox) Wilson. In addition to his wife Martha, Steve is survived by sisters Roberta Rutherford, Donna Wilson and Denise (Roy) Worley; brothers: Bruce Wilson and Duane (Debbie) Wilson; Step children: William (Lovanna) Nimmo, James Nimmo and Karyn Baker, many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother Boyd Wilson and a brother-in-law Terry Rutherford. Steve graduated from Bloom-Carroll High School, Class of 1965. He served in the US Coast Guard in the Vietnam War, attended Hebron New Life United Methodist Church and Gender Road Christian Church and worked for Ashland Oil for 30 years. He loved welding and electronics, Ohio State Football, Christian TV Programs as well as an interest in recipes and cooking on the grill. His dogs, were like his children. He was known for his infectious laughter that would fill a room. He was not blessed with children, but helped raise his nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday April 21, 2022 at the Gender Road Christian Church 5336 Gender Road Canal Winchester, Ohio where the family will receive friends from 10AM until Service.
