Jay Kenton Bailey passed away on December 9, 2017 from pneumonia. He was born in Seattle, Washington on December 20, 1958 to Joe E. Bailey and Joy Diane Moore. He was raised in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1977. He then attended the University of Washington and pledged Theta Chi Fraternity. He graduated with a degree in Economics and German. His plans to work in international banking never reached fruition. He went to work for Budget Rent A Car and managed their operations in Bellevue and Seattle. From there, he went to work for Diamond Parking in their Information Technology department. From there, he was employed by SpryNet, an internet service provider.

He married at 48 to Nancy Jean Nell on a cruise ship heading towards Alaska. They were married for 10 years. Jay enjoyed skiing, swimming, and tennis and he was a Seafair Clown for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his sister, Vicki Bailey, his niece, Emily Kellogg and nephew, Garrett Bailey Kellogg.

His family expresses their thanks to all of the care givers at Omna AFH and Aldercrest Health and Rehabilitation Center who cared for Jay in the final 6 years of his life.
