Mary Zane Decker, 93, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at The Waters of Rising Sun. Mary was born in Brodhead, KY on March 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Bessie Mae (Howard) and Stephen Carlton Davis. Mary was employed as a proofreader for Williams Directory of R.C. Polk. On January 21, 1955, she was married to Bobby Ray Decker, who preceded her in death. Mary was a a member of the former Price Hill Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed word search books, reading, and old TV shows.

Mary is  survived by daughter Brenda Harding (James) of Rising Sun, IN; grandchildren Sandy McGowan (Johanna); great grandchildren Junior, Jackson, Wyatt, and Katie; and nephew Steve Evans. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Cecil Davis, Robert Howard, Perry Davis, George Davis, Marion Davis, Holland Davis, Burtis Davis, Wiley Davis, and Chester Davis; sister Della Evans;  infant sister Lucille; infant brother Paul and grandchild Rae Zane Decker.
 

A public visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Funeral will be at 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 10th at the Markland Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
