Timothy Guy Dawson
July 27th, 1949-May 2nd, 2022

"Timothy "Tim" Guy Dawson passed peacefully away on May 2nd, 2022 at the age of 72, surrounded by his family. Tim was a proud Husband, Father, Poppop, brother, and friend.

Tim was born on July 27th, 1949 to Homer and Martha Dawson. After graduating from Claymont High School, Tim went on to work as a pipe fitter for Local Union 74 through retirement. If Tim was not tending to his garden, you could find him carving ducks, fishing, spending time with friends and family, getting a stain on his shirt, and in his younger years, riding his Harley.

Tim was a giant teddy bear. Tim's sarcastic and supportive nature made everyone feel as though they had known him their whole lives. He was not afraid to speak his mind, and then hug you afterward. Always willing to lend a helping hand or words of wisdom, Tim would have no problem giving you the shirt off his back, or the middle finger. Tim could make you laugh without effort. He was, without a doubt, the proudest Father and Poppop.

Welcoming Tim with open arms are his parents, Homer and Martha Dawson, Grandson, Nathaniel Purvis, and great-granddaughter, Haliey Angel. Left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Genille "Granny" Dawson, Children, Jennifer (Steve) Cooper, Corrine (Ray) Dawson, Simon Tusha, Brother, Craig Dawson, an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many friends who Tim considered family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you speak your love of Tim, and speak it often. Private services will be held for Tim at a later date."
