Coeur D'Alene Press, Idaho, 6 Jun 1997: Rosina Matilda Smith, 68, Post Falls, died Thursday, June 5, 1997, the Life Care Center in Coeur d'Alene. She was born January 3, 1929, in Jordan, Montana To Reinhardt and (Huber) Schwindt. She married Raymond Smith April 12, 1947, in Lewistown, MT. She was salutatorian of her 1947 graduating class. She operated the Rancher's Café in Jordan for six years, then worked as head cook at Jordan Elementary School. In 1969, she moved to Priest Lake and helped operate the Tamrak Café. Due to health problems, she and her husband sold the business and moved to Priest River. Her husband died in 1989 and she moved to Post Falls in 1990. She is survived by daughters Patsy Krumm, Jordan, Nancy Smith, Post Falls, Sharon Bryson, Priest Lake and Julie Hawks, Post Falls; sons Rich Smith, Kennewick, WA, and Randy Smith, Anchorage, AK; sisters Magdalena Fink, Carson, ND Pauline Oswald, Wing, NV, Lydia Westbrook, Newport, Martha Wagner, Waterloo, IA and Minnie Davis, Glasgow, MT; brother Gideon Schwindt, Wilton, ND; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Peter, Sam, Art and Alex Reinhardt, sisters, Caroline, Katie, and Marie. She was an active church member of Calvary Lutheran Church in the Dorcas Ladies Bible Study and as a Sunday School and Bible school helper. She enjoyed gardening, animals and reading. In Montana, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church American Lutheran Christian Women. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church.
