Ephraim C. Sargent, 79, Gould Court, died Sunday in a local hospital. A native of Alapoosa, Ga., he had been a resident of Tampa for eight years. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel Sargent, Tampa; one son, Athol Sargent, Dyersburg, Tenn.; three daughters, Mrs. Velma Ison, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Ernest Seymore, Memphis, and Mrs. E. E. Anton, Dallas, Tex.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Minnie Shute, Yakima, Wash., and two stepsons, H. O. Nettles, Brandon, and James Eason, Tampa.
