American Musician. A bass player, he was a founding member of both The Blessed and D Generation. He was a regular in the late 1970s New York punk scene as a preteen. He started out as the frontman for the Blessed, a punk band made up entirely of underage kids. The group only released one single, but they played regularly at New York's CBGB and Max's Kansas City clubs. Pyro became friends with Sid Vicious, and he was one of the last people who saw Vicious before he died. In the 1980s, Pyro led a band called The Freaks, and then he helped form D Generation in 1991, which became known nearly as much for their look as for their heavy punk music. The band signed with Chrysalis and released their self-titled debut album in 1993, and the follow-ups, 'No Lunch' (1996) and 'Through the Darkness' (1998), before breaking up in 1999. D Generation would reunite for occasional shows over the years, and released one more album in 2016, 'Nothing is Anywhere.' After the band's initial breakup, Pyro moved to Los Angeles and briefly joined Danzig. He also played on records from Joey Ramone and Jesse Malin, and worked as a DJ, hosting the internet radio show "Intoxica!"
