Melissa "Misi" Marie Hawkins, 54, of Sutton passed away at home on Monday, May 2, 2022.
She was born in Gassaway on October 14, 1967.
Preceding her in death was her companion of 20+ years, Donald Charles Davis.
Misi enjoyed listening to music, especially Janis Joplin. She often read romance novels and watched Grizzly Adams on TV. In the summer she enjoyed being outdoors, sunbathing, and swimming. She also spent time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters Shanna Marie Johnson of Lubbock, TX and Sonya Leigh Hawkins of Gassaway; and her mother Lela Joan Hawkins of Gassaway.
Misi's funeral service was held at 1 P.M. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV with Pastor Rodney England officiating. Interment followed in the Braxton Memorial Cemetery, Sutton, WV.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
