She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ambridge. She was in real estate sales most recently for Coldwell- Bankers. Diane was a member of the Beaver County Association of Realtors.
She enjoyed gardening of indoor and outdoor plants, painting, photography, and repurposing furniture. She loved animals and in addition to her own pets, she fostered dogs.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Edward C. Johnston, a daughter, Michele Lash of Concord, New Hampshire, a son, Edward A. Johnston of Harmony Twp., Marisa Kebekus of Sewickley who Diane considered her 2nd daughter, five grandchildren, Johnny and Abigail Lash, Joshua, Edward (Jake), and Charlette Johnston, a brother and sister-in- law, Russell and Barbara Palishak of Economy, two nieces, Christine Reddick of Economy, Kimberly Palishak of Shaler, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Nancy Johnston of Marlboro, MA, and their children, and her beloved four legged companion, Koba.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a Parastas service will be held at 3:30 PM. A Panahyda service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM in SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Her pastor, Father Michael Polosky will preside. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
