Linda Ruth Olsen Nicholls, 77, of Ephraim, Utah, passed away May 3, 2022 from age related causes. She was born on November 15, 1944 in Ephraim, Utah to Sherman Olsen and Florence Urania Paulsen. Linda was born in Ephraim, Utah on November 15, 1944. The youngest of ten children, she took pride in her Pioneer heritage and especially of her Paulsen ancestors and their history in the "Sanpitch" (Sanpete) area.

Linda had fond memories of her childhood years in Ephraim and the surrounding mountains. As a child the best place to look for her was in the hills where she could be found hunting, exploring, searching for arrowheads and Native American history! Not only did she love the outdoors and the many adventures found there, she loved to learn, to metal detect for history, loved nature and animals-cats, chickens, pigeons and all sorts of creatures that her kids brought home later in her married life. Many family members can remember her sharing her love for the smell of Juniper trees in the foothills around Ephraim.

Linda was a proud member of the of the amazing class of 1963! And went on to graduate from both Snow College and the University of Utah. She participated in many extracurricular activities in her high school and collegiate years, often even challenging "the boys" to a contest in baseball, shooting and many other sports. Bargain hunting was also a passion and one she passed on to many of her children and grandchildren. At times, she could be heard planning a "sailing" trip for the weekend. Going "sailing" to yard sales for Linda was an adventure and treasure hunt.

Linda was married and sealed to Thomas Erick Nicholls on June 12, 1965 in Manti, Utah. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; children: Hallie (Nicholls) Redd, Brad Nicholls, Russell Nicholls, Branden Nicholls and Mandy (Nicholls) Marquardson; two of her siblings: Doug Olsen and Kendall Olsen; er 13 grandchildren were a source of smiles and energy, and she enjoyed the many memories and joyful times spent with all of them.

Our beloved mother, was one of the most caring, adventurous, loving and sweetest, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend you could get to know. She was devoted to her family above all and passionate and accomplished at many things. She was an avid learner and loved her time teaching professionally in multiple states, always encouraging her students and children to pursue learning and higher education.

Throughout her life, Linda, volunteered much of her time to helping others learn, grow and explore their passions. We are sure she is excited to be freed of the bonds of ailment that sometimes happen in this life and exploring new and adventurous hills with her cats, her chicken "Penny" and her mom, brothers and sisters.
