James Lafayette Franklin, 83 of Crawfordville passed away on May 2, 2022. He was a life-long resident of Wakulla County and worked as Terminal Manager for Tenneco Oil for 44 years. He was a member of Ivan Assembly of God. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming cows and gardening. He also had a special affection for Paso Fino horses. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lillian Franklin. He is survived by his children, Keith Franklin (Abby) and Karen Taggart (Terry); sister, Linda Sue Davis; five grandchildren, Kenneth Franklin (Meagan), Kristina K. Seymour, Kimberly Price (Mark), Gavin P. Kaufmann, and Matthew P. Taggart; and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00 am at Ivan Assembly of God followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. His final resting place will be Ivan Assembly of God Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjudes.org), in lieu of flowers. Skip and Trey Young are assisting the family with arrangements.
