Lawrence Arthur Johnson, age 87 of Cedar Springs, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2020 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
Larry was born on March 19, 1935 in East Lake, Michigan, the son of Arthur and Agnes (Bradford) Johnson. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955. Larry married Sandra Clark on September 23, 1961. He worked for many years for Michigan Bumper, retiring in 1995. For many years, he and Sandra enjoyed selling Christmas trees from their home.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sandy Johnson on December 12, 2020 and several brothers and sisters.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Lori and Aaron Wilk of Casnovia; his son, Danny Johnson of Zeeland; his daughter, Rebecca Seeley of California; his grandchildren, Katie and James Clarke, Karrie Wilk, Kyle Johnson, and Benjamin Johnson; his three great grandchildren, Greta, Ashe, and Gustav; his siblings, Marian and Jim Hilliard, Judith Lane, and Janice Witkowski; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in May 2022.
