Gene dedicated 24 years of work to the Calhoun County Road Department from where he retired on May 23, 2013. He did have a love for hot dogs and bologna.
Gene is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Stermer) Taylor; brothers, Robert (Arla) Taylor, Jeffery Taylor; sons, Tommy (Amanda) Taylor, Larry (Laura) Taylor; daughter, Kelly (Kyle) Gymer; stepchildren, William Ulsh, Courtney (Roy) Adkins, Levi (Ashley) Leedle; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Taylor (who people knew her as Vicky); parents and sister, Diane (Dale) Coffman.
At this time cremation has taken place and a celebration of Gene's life will be held at a later date.
