Marilyn Kay (Voorheis) Cooper

Age 75, of Trumansburg, passed away April 27, 2022.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at the Union Cemetery of Hector in Burdett, following with a get together at Burdett Fire Station.

Marilyn was born in Montour Falls on November 24, 1946, the daughter of the late Lyle and Myrtle (Usher) Voorheis. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Trumansburg and will be warmly remembered by many.

She is survived by her son Kenneth C. Colburn II (Belinda); daughters, Schaun Lupo (Carl Sr.), Venesia Green (Scott), and Carlea Cooper Fernandes; brothers, Wayne (Florence) Voorheis and Melvin (Judy) Voorheis; sisters, Bonnie Covington and Sandra Christensen; brother-in-law Lee Newhart; sister-in-law Sharon Voorheis; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Cooper (Chad), Ralph Lupo, Carl Lupo Jr., Doug Lupo, Maple Colburn, Brandon Green, (Lauri), Kayli Green, Jordan Colburn, Sean Colburn, and Hunter Colburn, Tyler
Fernandesd (Cassey), Samantha McDaniel (Cody), Breann Fernandes; and 12 great-grandchildren, Jason, Isabella, Christopher, Isaac, Michael, Blake, Paytynne,Carter, Mason, Saxon, Russell, and Liam; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Robert Cooper Jr. in 2019; and also predeceased by her parents, Lyle and Myrtle Voorheis, brother Carl Voorheis, and her sisters, Joyce Newhart and Arlene Reddick.
