Mary Carmen Garcia, age 92, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday April 26, 2022.

Mary was born October 16, 1929 in Texas City Texas to Carmen and Albert Ortiz.

She worked for a Tomato Cannery Company in Sacramento and at TM Duche Nut Co. in Orland until she retired.

Mary was a member of the Altar Society at St. Dominic's Church in Orland and the Comite De Beneficio Chapter 27 in Chico.

She is survived by her 5 children: Albert Garcia of Orland, Carmen Sabin of Stockton, Sylvia Tanson of Orland, Ruben Garcia of Merced and Dolores Vasquez of Orland. She will be missed by her 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 48 great great grandchildren and 4 great great great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Garcia, her parents, sisters, Esperanza Cruz, Theresa Delgado and Librada Montes and 5 nephews and 3 nieces.

She will be remembered as a beautiful and loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend whose smile was warm and genuine. Her love for her husband Manuel was a beautiful sight, as everyone would stop and watch the two of them dance at every family and social gathering. Their love will live on eternally, as their souls have reunited after 16 years.
