Paula Kay Dowell, 61, of Terre Haute passed away May 1, 2022 in her home after her battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1961, in Terre Haute to George Franklin Stultz and Anna Marie Lynch Stultz. She graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1979. She attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. When she was working she bowled in a local league. She loved games, especially the cards games euchre and canasta. Paula worked in food service as a dietary manager at St. Mary's College. In her younger years, she loved the outdoors; she would enjoy camping and fishing. She loved animals, especially dogs. Halloween was a special time of the year for Paula, she loved to dress up and have decorations out for her favorite holiday.
Paula is preceded in death by her father, husband, Patrick Dowell Sr., and a sister, Leona Anderson Thompson. She is survived by her mother, son, Patrick Dowell Jr. (Cadie Parrish), brothers; John Anderson, and Frank Stultz, sister, Annette Anderson Turner, and her dog, Rudy.
Services for Paula will be Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation will take place from 11 am until service time at the funeral home on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made at the funeral home during visitation and services.
