Graveside services for Roy Lee Fitzgerald, 89, of Longview will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2012, at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County with Reverend Jim Ross officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Fitzgerald passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Fitzgerald was born November 20, 1922, in Upshur County to Joseph and Fannie Sherrod Fitzgerald. He was a veteran of the United States Army in World War II, retired watchmaker for McCarley"s and Kennedy"s Jewelry and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lanell Fitzgerald of Longview; daughter, Debra Fitzgerald of Longview; brother, Freddie Fitzgerald of Gilmer; sister, Beatrice Dudley of Longview. No formal visitation is scheduled.
