Carrie Mae Nichols, age 85 of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of Glenlock Baptist Church of Sweetwater. She was loved by many.
Preceded in death by her parents; Carl (Shorty) and Lily Hicks, brothers; Raymond and Bud Hicks and granddaughter Michelle Best.
Survivors include her husband of 69 ½ years; L.H. Nichols, daughter's and son-in-law; Rhonda Busby and Vicki and Nathan Barnes,
Four grandchildren and spouses; Shannon and Josh Croft, Trampus and Tee Hicks, Jonathan and Laura Barnes, and Chad and Chasity Barnes, all of Sweetwater.
Seven great grandchildren; Isabelle and Isaac Croft, Emily, Randy, Essie and, Aubrie Barnes and M.J. Courtney.
Sisters and brothers-in-law; Tootsie and Harrison Nicholson, Betty and Hubert Allen, and Patsy Houston. Several cousins, nieces and nephews and special feline friend Sammie.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Sweetwater Memory Chapel from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Graveside service will be held 11 :00 am Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Sweetwater Memorial Park with Dr. Gerald Atkins officiating.
