Curtis Vernon Blaney, Sr. passed away April 5, 2022 in Virginia Beach, VA. Curtis was born January 21, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Virginia Beach as a young man to be with his mother and to start a family of his own.
Curt had battled cancer for many years with courage and a good attitude. He never let it stop him from going places and having fun.
Curt was an automobile machinist by trade. He enjoyed restoring and fixing up cars to their potential. His passion was living on his yacht the "Aquaholic" with Gigi his special companion and their pet Max. He was known to many as "Captain Curt". Curt enjoyed jet skiing and making waves on the pontoon. Curt had the best "toys" and would enjoy them with his grandchildren and family. He usually had a fishing pole in one hand and a strawberita in the other. Curt could start a conversation with anyone, even a stranger he bumped into at the store. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to someone in need.
Curtis is survived by his father George (Sue) Blaney, his siblings Jeffrey and Timothy Blaney, Amy and Paul Bailey, devoted father to Curtis Jr. and Kaitlyn, grandchildren Cameron, Cynthia and Julia and a host of cousins and loving friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Ann Blaney.
We will always remember Curt with love and fun memories, he will never be forgotten.
