Sheila M. Carter, 62, of Phoenix, NY, passed away Sunday at Crouse Hospital. Sheila was born in Syracuse and has lived in Phoenix for many years. She worked as a parts distributor for Tactair Fluid Control for 17 years. Prior to that she had worked for BG Sulzle, Inc. for 16 years. Sheila was a graduate of LaFayette High School. She enjoyed bowling and going to the casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and especially her grandchildren which she cherished. She is predeceased by a brother, Timothy Reardon. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Jeffrey J. Carter, Sr., 2 sons; Jeffrey J. Carter, Jr. (Lauren Visser) and Joshua J. Carter (Pam Duquette), her daughter, Jessica J. Carter (Derek Owen), 5 grandchildren; Jayden, Mila, Corbin, Colton, and Kase, her parents, Ned & Jean Reardon, 2 brothers; Mark (Mary Anne) Reardon and Brian (Michelle) Reardon, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 with a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Sheila's memory to the American Cancer Society.
