Jack was born September 17, 1959 in Seminole to Gen (Pierce) and Joe Moore. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1978, and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy during peace time aboard submarines. Jack was truly a jack-of-all-trades; he could fix anything and if he couldn't fix it, he would build it. He enjoyed electronics and motors of all kinds. He served on Seminole Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He pioneered the Mobile Command Unit, and helped to start the Gaines County CERT organization. He was also gifted in radio operation and was a licensed ham radio operator. Before retiring, he worked as the Assistant Emergency Operations Manager.
Jack was a great friend, an excellent teacher, and generous with his time; he would do anything for anyone. He loved music, especially country. He was a good singer and was able to play any instrument if you gave him a little time. He was stubborn and hard headed, but you could not ask for a better friend. He had a terrific sense of humor and a strong belief in God. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Jackie Moore passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
