Mr. Byrd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kate; son, Johnny; brother, Christopher and granddaughter, Hannah.
Surviving are one son, Steven Byrd and wife Tammy; daughter, Theresa Byrd and Tim Miller; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be private.
