James Bishop, 84, aka, "Jimmy B" was born January 21, 1938, in Salem, New Jersey to parents, the late, James Counsellor III and Agnes Doherty. He had a wonderful, self-fulfilling life.
Jimmy B. is survived by his loving wife, Evie Bishop and his three children from a former marriage; Ricky (Stacy) Bishop, Jimmy (Kellie) Bishop, Debbie Bishop; three grandchildren, Ricky, Jimmy and Angel Bishop.
Jimmy grew-up in his grandfathers Bar and Hotel business in Anglesea, New Jersey, called "Bishop's" as well as "Bishop's High Steps" because of all the steps going up to the Bar.
Later, Jimmy served his Country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy and after his service, he pursued his path in life.
He won the South Jersey Amateur Boxing Award; became a Firefighter by joining the Anglesea Fire Department in North Wildwood, New Jersey; became a building contractor in Wildwood, as well and in the Summer, would work as a Bartender; He then became a Roofing Contractor as owner/operator of Anglesea Roofing Company. He also worked in Las Vegas, Nevada for awhile as a "Pit Boss" at the "Circus Circus Hotel & Casino"
He later designed and built his family home in Bondville, Vermont when he formed the "4-B Construction Company" as owner/operator. He loved sports to the point that he became a Ski Instructor at Stratton Mountain, Vermont and in warmer weather was a Golf Ranger & Starter at the Mountain Country Club there as well, and would work part-time as a Bartender at Haig's & Stratton Mountain Sun Bowl Lodge.
Jimmy always loved being a Bartender and wanted to own his own Bar some day. At that point he decided to make a move, so he and his family moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC and opened "Jimmy B's" Wildwood Bar & Grill" on November 22, 2000 and continued in business until it was sold on November 22, 2020.
Jimmy loved skiing, golfing, playing pool & Darts, telling stories (mostly true) Loved his XKE Jaguar & Evie! Loved his fur baby, "Lady" a Chocolate Lab mixed with a special breed German Short-Haired Pointer.
