Carole Jean Mason, age 80, of Linton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at her daughter's residence. She was born in Sullivan, IN on April 1, 1942 the daughter of Clifford & Irene (Jerrels) Anders.

She was a 1960 graduate of Union High School in Dugger. She was a homemaker for most of her life and was also the proud business owner of the family business, Creative Uniques, where she, her mom and daughter published sewing patterns and made handmade buttons. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafting but she especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and beloved fur baby, Bella Bean. She also cherished her many friends who became family over the years.

Carole is survived by her loving children, Jeanna (Steve) Channel of Linton and Bob (Lisa) Mason of Linton; grandchildren, Savannah (Kyle) Kaufman of Indianapolis, Garrett Mason of Dugger, Heather (Allen) Lee of Columbus, OH, Constance (Keith Martucci) Rose of Eldersburg, MD, Hannah Bradbury of Dugger and Cole (Malee Sparks) Bradbury of Linton; great grandchildren, Bethany Lee, Kaitlyn Lee, Nora Rose, Elise Rose and Alessandra Martucci as well as her special son, Dr. Fariborz (Narguess) Nasseri and his son, Mike Nasseri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Earl Mason.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Burial will follow at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to either Greene County Humane Society or Sullivan County Humane Society through the funeral home.
