Mr. Tanner was born in Sandersville, the son of the late James Frank Tanner, and the late Rose Killingsworth Tanner. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and spent his working career in electrical instrumentation for Dupont. Mr. Tanner was a meticulous gentleman, and he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, music and ballroom dancing and anything to do with electronics. He enjoyed fellowship with the "boys and girls" of the Wendy's Coffee Club. Mr. Tanner was a member of Sandersville First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wives, Gladys Garrett Tanner and Rachel Wood Tanner and his son, Myron Rodney Tanner.
