Louisville man, Formerly Lived near Ogden and Paxico
A. D. Elmore, 74, of near Louisville died Monday and funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. Interment will be in the Paxico Cemetery. Mr. Elmore formerly resided near Ogden and Paxico.
Surviving are two sons Chet Elmore, Manhattan and Steve Elmore, Junction City; and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Davis of the home, Mrs. E. E. Abbott of Route 1 Manhattan, Mrs. William Jones, , Lawrence, and Mrs. Herman Major, South Bend, Indiana.

Stephen Arnold Douglas Elmore was born in January 13, 1859 in Godfrey, Illinois to Peter Francis and Francis Elizabeth (Close) Elmore. He married Caroline Yehle on July 13, 1880, in Carroll County, Missouri but later divorced. He married Lois Rosetta Morlan on May 15, 1889, in Alma, Kansas and had the following children, P.D., Stella, Elizabeth, Steven D., Chester L., and Jesse A.
