He was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster where he served in many capacities including Elder and Sunday School teacher.
He was a loving, supportive Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sara Jane Lee Allen (1936-2019); his parents Dewey Rex Allen (1911 - 2004) and Mary Ellen Allen (1915 - 2000); and his sister Brenda Allen Kirby (1940-1996).
He is survived by his two daughters and son. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ted was born in Pea Ridge, Alabama on September 14, 1934. He attended Montevallo High School and the University of Montevallo. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and worked many years for the Trane Company in Birmingham, Alabama.
Visitation for Ted Allen will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster on Tuesday, April 12th from 9:30 until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the church at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster, Alabama.
