Lela Ann Reed of Leadwood, Missouri passed away September 18, 2018 in Desloge, Missouri at the age of 81 years. She was born February 7, 1937 in Pilot Knob, Missouri the daughter of Raymond Francis and Anna Belle (Litton) Barnes.
On September 19, 1953 she was united in marriage to Maynard Jones who preceded her in death on November 20, 2002. On February 9, 2008 she was united in marriage to Roy Kenneth Reed who survives and resides in Leadwood, Missouri.
Lela is survived by her children; Patricia Forrester and husband, J.R. of Park Hills, Missouri, Linda Pelikan and husband, Tom of Farmington, Missouri, Mark Jones and wife, Meredith of Farmington, Missouri, Laura Hawkins and husband, Dale of Black, Missouri, Sara Bates of Ironton, Missouri, Shari Bequette and husband, Tom of Farmington, Missouri, and Scott Jones and wife, Tina of Middle Brook, Missouri. Also surviving are her stepchildren; Roy Reed Jr. and wife, Becky of O'Fallon, Missouri, Sherry Skiles and husband, Rev. Duncan of Leasburg, Missouri, Pat Vaughan and husband, Rev. Mark of St. Peters, Missouri, and Margie Allen of St. Charles, Missouri, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Lela was preceded in death by her daughter, Caren Owens, her brother, Donald Barnes, her son-in-law, Jerry Bates and her stepson, Steve Reed.
Lela attended church at the House of Prayer in Belleview, Missouri and the New Beginnings Worship Center in Farmington, Missouri.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the House of Prayer Church. Visitation was on Friday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home.
Interment was at Layne Cemetery.
