John Doyal Robinson was born to Don B. and Ethel (Sons) Robinson on July 7,1941 in Tatum, Texas. He entered his eternal home Friday April 29,2022. He will be always remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his two adoring children, daughter Stephenia and husband Brett Ottinger of Valley View, Tx and son Stephen and wife Tephanie Robinson of Sanger, Tx. He is also survived by four greatly loved grandchildren, Craig and wife Michelle Ottinger Monty and wife Kara Ottinger, Luke Ottinger, and Meghann Robinson. He is also survived by six precious great grandchildren Kaeden Ottinger, Gunner and Gatlin Ottinger, Kylee Ann and Nolan Ottinger and Owen Lombardo. He is also survived by sister Darlene Krone, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by Loving wife of 49 years Patricia Ann (Wages) Robinson, his parents and brother Donald Lee Robinson.

John was a dedicated employee of the Denton Fire Department as a driver for 31 years. While being a firefighter he also drove for Central Freight Lines for over 20 years. He was a honored member of the Denton Elks Lodge #2446 serving many roles at the lodge. Winning Elk of The Year and Volunteer of the Year multiple times over his 28 years of membership. He was a devoted member of Freedom Life Church in Sanger, Texas where he gave his heart to the Lord. He leaves behind his family, numerous friends including his special friend John Porter whom John took in off the street and provided a home and provisions for the last 8 years of his life. Proving that John left the legacy of compassion, humor, strength, courage and determination.

Visitation Tuesday May 3rd at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, Tx from. 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Memorial service will held Wednesday May 4th at 11:00 AM at Hilltop Church, 819 W. Sherman Drive, Aubrey, Tx. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Denton Firefighter's Association, Hilltop Church or the Elks Lodge Charities, 228 E. Oak St. Denton, Tx.
