Crystal Elma Yearous Bingham was born on January 16th, 1909 at Miller, South Dakota. She was the daughter of George and Myrtle Peterman Yearous. Her grandparents included Jerome and Laura Schrack Yearous and John and Mary Scarlett Peterman.She grew up in Hand County, SD. She graduated from Miller High School and Northern State Normal School in Aberdeen, becoming a teacher. On November 1st, 1930, Crystal married George W. Bingham, the son of John and Ruth Goyke Bingham, at St. Lawrence, SD. They made their home on farm near Lake Cochrane in Deuel County, SD. George and Crystal were the parents of five children: Charles, Donald, Doris Ronne Musch, Byron, and Joyce Lokkeberg Kontz. Mrs. Bingham passed away on January 27th, 1965 at Canby, Minnesota.
