Mrs. Brenda Broome Smith, 74, of Pageland, SC went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 29, 2022 at home while surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born on January 18, 1948, in Monroe, NC to

and her brother-in-law, Richard Mehaffey
Brenda is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years,
Byron A. (Beaver) Smith
Son, Byron A. Smith (Stacey)
Grandson, Byron Austin Smith (Chance) and their daughter, Lynnlee Grace of Greenwood, SC
Step-granddaughter, Kassie Riley (Blake) and their son, Wes of Hartsville, SC.

Mrs. Smith ran a Day Care Center for a time in Hartsville, SC before graduating from Nursing School and beginning her career as an R.N. Her devotion to her patients and their care extended to hospitals, including ICU Care and Home Health Services before concluding her career as a School Nurse.
Brenda was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was having her family together. Brenda, Beaver and the family especially enjoyed camping trips to the mountains and beach.
Brenda was a long time member of Pageland First Baptist Church, Pageland, SC and she and Beaver were members of the Happy Hearts Sunday School Class.
There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Joel Dale officiating in the church cemetery with visitation to follow.
