LOUIS BENSHOOF was born 15 Aug 1913, probably in Gary, Deuel, South Dakota, to Leroy "Roy" Benshoof and Nellie M. (Freestone) Benshoof. In the summer of 1916 both he and his brother, Walter Howard Benshoof, contracted Typhoid Fever. Howard survived, but Louis died at age 3 on 16 Sep 1916 and is buried in Grandview Cemetery, Gary, Deuel, South Dakota, together with his father and mother and another brother, Oliver Worth Benshoof.
