Mrs. Beatrice Grier Webb was born in Forsyth, Georgia on June 17, 1950 to the parentage of the late James R. (Bud) Grier and Julia Mae Jones Grier. She was their fourth child. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 14, 2022 after an extended illness.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her grandparents Tom and Gussie Hardy Grier; brothers: Nathaniel Grier, Sr. and Eddie James (Pete) Grier, Sr.; father and mother-in-law: Ernest and Annie Kate Webb.
Beatrice accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greater Friendship Baptist Church in Forsyth, Georgia. In her time there she served as President of the Usher Board. She received her education in the Monroe County School System and was a graduate of the Hubbard High School Class of 1968. Upon graduating from high school, she entered the workforce of Domestics and would later work in the textile industry at Bibb Mill and as a seamstress with the William Carter Company.
On March 31, 1973, she entered into holy matrimony with Willie Frank Webb. This union would span the next 48 years of their lives. She would later serve as an Usher at the Laodicea Baptist Church in Monroe County. Beatrice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Beatrice and Willie Frank eventually left Forsyth and moved to Duluth, Georgia. She worked for BJ Marigolds Florist and the Deen Day Smith Sanders Company for the next 30+ years. While in Duluth, she attended Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Lilburn, Georgia. After retirement, she and Willie Frank moved back to Forsyth in 2014. Her hobbies included sewing, baking scrumptious pound cakes and traveling the United States and abroad.
Beatrice will be forever remembered by her husband, Willie Frank Webb. Daughters: Andrea Phinazee Jackson of Jonesboro, GA; Florence (Thaddeus) Richardson of Ellenwood, Gam and one son, Fredrick Webb of Atlanta, GA. Grandchilden: Cherelle (Curtis) Patterson, Terrance Jackson, Deondray Simmons and Shamaria Clark. Sisters: Shirley Evans, Juronia Hartley and Paulette (Kent) Davis, all of Forsyth, GA. Sisters-in-law: Katherine Grier and Cynthia (Nathaniel) Davis; brother-in-law: Larry Webb and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Special friends: Lunelle Brown and Gloria Montgomery.
