COUNTYLINE -- Services for Lorene Cooley Thacker, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Countyline First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Ward officiating. Interment will be at Foster Cemetery, Foster.
Mrs. Thacker was born June 12, 1917, at Matoy, to John and Rowena Drake Rooks. She died Feb. 7, 2000, in Meridian.
A lifetime resident of this area, she was a retired waitress and member of Velma Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother; sister; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Womack, Velma; three sons, Truman Jones, Antioch, Larry Cooley, Alexandria, Va., and Dawl McLemore, Lindsay; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Tommy Presgrove, Kevin Womack, Jimmy, Randelle, Raymond and Ronnie Lumbert. Waters Cartwright is honorary bearer.
Milburn Funeral Home will direct services.
