John P. Elliott, Jr., 96, of Hurricane, passed away April 26, 2022. He was born March 21, 1926 in Glenville, the son of John P. and Audrey Ellyson Elliott, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Crouse.

John was a retired pipefitter for Union Carbide with over 30 years of service. He was a US Marine veteran of WWII. John was an avid trap shooter. He was a highly accomplished shooter where he was inducted into the trap shooters hall of fame. John was a member of Pt. Pleasant Shooting Club and the St. Albans Moose.

He is survived by two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren.

Celebration of John's life will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, with military graveside rites conducted by St. Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 11 until time of service at the funeral home.
