Frances Sligh Livingston, 85, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Santa Cruz, Calif. Memorial services were held in Santa Cruz, Calif. Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Waco Memorial Park, Waco, Texas, conducted by Jordan Ogden, a great-nephew.

Frances was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Herman B. and Frances Sligh. She graduated from Waco High School in 1940, then Tarleton State University and North Texas State University. She worked as an administrative assistant at Education Testing Services for 25 years in Princeton, N.J. She was active in volunteering work at Princeton Hospital, a Brownie leader, and an active member of Trinity Church. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, making beautiful handwork and traveling. She moved to Santa Cruz in 1999 to be near her children.

She is survived by her sons, Neil Livingston and wife, Teresa, and Tom Livingston and wife, Linnie; daughter, Anastacia Burns and husband, Wesley; 10 grandchildren; sister, Jo Ann Rogers, of Waco; and many nieces and nephews.
