Leona Brown Miller, 97, of Princeton, WV passed away peacefully in the loving care of Shelby Nelson's Personal Care Home on Friday, April 15, 2022. Leona was born on February 11, 1925 in Bluefield, WV and was the daughter of the late Robert and Arpie Brown. Leona spent most of her adult life living in Princeton. She was a 1943 graduate of Beaver High School. She retired from Rockwell International and formerly worked for Pyatt Boone in Tazewell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton where she will be missed by Jackie Evans and other members of her Sunday school class and will also be missed by her monthly breakfast group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Miller; and her brother and sister-in-law, James Wilfred Brown, and Mary Lou Brown. She is survived by her niece, Cathy Brown of Charleston, WV; and close friends, Mack Bradley, and Mary Ball. The family of Leona would like to thank Shelby, Regina, and Felicia for the love and care shown to Leona and the family since September 2021 and to Uva, Reginia, Whitney and all the nurses at Hospice Compassus for the love and care they gave to Leona during that time. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Leona will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Andrew Maynor officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour on Monday.
