Matthew Christopher Wade, 38, of St. Petersburg, FL died Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Bay Front Health in St. Petersburg, FL. Born November 25, 1983 in Athens, GA he was the son of Michael and Brenda Wade of Princeton, WV. Matthew worked as a salesman for Harley Davidson in Florida. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Wade; and maternal grandparents, Emory H. Pettrey and Imogene Neal Pettrey. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Mary E. Wade of Chipley, FL; brother, Joshua Wade and wife Michelle of Winder, GA; and sister, Lauren Wade of Athens, GA. In keeping with Matthew's wishes he has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held in Athens, Georgia at the Georgia Museum of Art on the campus of the University of Georgia on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking information and directions can be found at gamuseum.org.
