Dorothy Virginia Bodkin, 89, formerly of Rawlings, MD, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Julia Manor in Hagerstown.

Born on November 18, 1932 in Dawson, MD she was a daughter of the late Brook Preston and Beatrice S. (Clark) Bodkin. In addition to her parents Dorothy is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Brook Bodkin and her sister Norma B Calhoun and husband Robert. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Dorothy graduate from Bruce High School class of 1950. She retired from Nation Bank in Keyser in 1992 after 42 years working as an Accountant and was a member of the Dawson United Methodist church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her two nieces, Debra C. Markell and husband Wade and Donna C. Whitt and husband Edward both of Hagerstown; one great nephew, Christopher I Younker of Clearspring, MD and a special cousin, Patricia Bodkins.

In lieu of flower Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Dorothy Virginia Bodkin to the Dawson United Methodist Church, 22515 McMullen Hwy S.W. Rawlings MD 21557.

Respecting Dorothy's wishes, a private family service and interment will be held in Dawson Cemetery.
