ROBT. MORROW DEAD
DIED AT HIS OLD HOME, LAWRENCE, KAS., THIS MORNING
LIVED TEN YEARS IN EL RENO
A Courteous Gentleman, a True Friend, He Possessed the Respect and Esteem of the Community.
About three months ago Robert C. Morrow and family left El Reno, for Asbury Park, New Jersey, in the hope that a summer by the sea would benefit Mr. Morrow’s health. This afternoon Miss Maude Conklin, who has managed Mr. Morrow’s store during his absence, received a telegram from Mrs. Morrow, stating that Mr. Morrow died at 10 o’clock today, at Lawrence, Kansas, to which place he was recently taken from New Jersey. The telegram also stated that the funeral would occur at Lawrence, next Sunday.
Mr. Morrow and family came to El Reno, from Lawrence, about ten years ago, and during their residence here, they have been prominent in business, church and social circles. For a number of years, Mr. Morrow was connected with the management of the Kerfoot hotel, and later he engaged in mercantile pursuits, being at the time of his death, proprietor of the Novelty Racket Store, on Rock Island avenue. He was known as a man of strict integrity, a true friend and a thorough gentleman. Many El Reno friends will deeply regret to hear of his death.
Mr. Morrow leaves a wife and one daughter, Ethel, aged fourteen years, his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Morrow and Miss Ethel are expected to arrive in El Reno early next week.
