Don graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy of Claremore and the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in music. Early in his life his family attended the Knob Hill Baptist Church in south OKC. It was there he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized.

A public service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m. at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 South Pennsylvania, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. Tommy Merritt will lead the service.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Linden N. and Lois G. Munday, a stillborn sibling Jarrette and his nephew David Sharp of Bethany, OK. He is survived by his wife Martha Gregory Munday of OKC. A younger brother Steve of OKC; children Stacy Whitaker and Ryan Munday. A sister Vicky Munday Sharp, married to Larry Sharp of Bethany. Children, Jonathan and Daniel of the Bethany area and Ken Munday married to Pam. Children Maegen, Jamie Munday Raymond, and Jesi all of Nashville. In addition to his family, Don leaves behind his close friend Ivy Lobel, a host of church family, friends and extended family who remember him for mainly 2 things... his wit and his huge contribution to the music world.

Don was passionate about his music. He taught and inspired many students. Don enjoyed his time with friends at the Will Rogers Senior Center. Don loved fly fishing and cooking almost as much as his pets! Most Saturdays, you would find Don and his Jazz quartet playing at Ingrid's Kitchen! On Sundays, he could be found in the orchestra of Southern Hills Baptist Church.

Understood by a few, but loved by all. We will miss you.

Don will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Northwest Oklahoma City near his parents and nephew.
