Adiel Esdon Patton, 81, of 24376 Corinth Road, Thompsonville, died 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Gospel Assembly Church in Eldorado with the Rev. L. D. Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Cave-In-Rock. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born May 15, 1924, in Cave-In-Rock to the late Lonzo and Grace (Suits) Patton. He married Vada Hall, who preceded him in death.
He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church.
He is survived by a son, Deon Patton (Lynne Phillips) of Eldorado; two brothers, France (Norma) Patton of Cave-In-Rock and Hancel "Pat" (Dorothy) Patton of Godfrey; a sister, Wilmetta Fullerton of Galatia; two grandchildren, Kevin (Brenda) Patton of Junction and Angela Patton of Belleville; and a great-grandchild, Alyssa Patton.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Oral Patton; and a sister, Arvetta Tite.
