Mr. Ronald Vinson Harrison, age 80, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on June 22, 1941 in Lancaster, Kentucky as a blessing to the home of Andrew Joseph and Ina B. Long Harrison who raised him a large family of 10 children. Ronnie was raised in Lancaster until he was 12 years of age when the family would move to Indiana where he would attend High School at Paris Crossing and graduate in 1959. Only a few years later, on November 3, 1962, Ron was united in marriage to the love of his life Beverly Ann Horine. This happy union of almost 60 years was blessed with two daughters Rhonda and Tonya. To provide for his family, he worked first at Rotary Lift and then at Cummins for a brief time before making a career at Indiana Kentucky Electric Corporation. He served there for 32 years before retiring in 2000 ending in the role of supervisor. Retirement wouldn't be dull for Ron as he had more than enough interests to keep him busy. Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman, hunter, tinkerer, and handy man. He particularly loved using his gift of fixing anything to bless his family and friends. Family and friends after all is what made Ron tick. He was a proud Pop and Poppy always quick to say he loved his girls and eager to spend time with them. He was also a proud patriot and a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. Ronald died on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 12:40 p.m. doing what he loved most-- helping his family.
