Ron Fisher

Age 70, of Rice Lake, WI, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 following a brief battle with leukemia.

He was born on April 26, 1952 to Kenneth and Dorothy Fisher in Centuria, WI. Ron attended Unity High School and graduated in 1970. He was drafted in the United States Army and served from 1972-1974 and then he attended WITC in Rice Lake.

Ron married Sandy Bonkoski in 1978 and they had 2 children. He was in the beer business for 40 years working for Decker Distributing, Best Brands and General Beverage.

Ron was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the company of his brother Rick and best friend Carl who share many fishing stories. Ron had a love for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and UW Madison Badgers. His passion for his teams led him to become an expert radio thrower.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; a daughter, Kristy; son, Greg (Cassie); 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Camden; 2 brothers, Rick (Karen) and Bob; 2 sisters, Diane McQuay and Patti (Mike) Woltz; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Kenny and Randy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Monday, May 2, 2022 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Sue Eidahl officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake, with Military Rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard. The family would appreciate visitors to wear their favorite Packer, Badger or Brewer attire at the visitation from 3-6PM Sunday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for an hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday.
