Born on the 28 Dec 1906 in Kiveton Park (in between Sheffield and Rotherham), his first club also appears to be Kiveton Park.
They are one of Yorkshires oldest clubs and the famous Herbert Chapman played for them in the 1890's. Albert is recognised on the club website as a famous ex player.
Chelsea signed him in the summer of 1932 from Bristol Rovers. Albert played on either flank, he was a speedy winger with a flair for scoring goals. After 130 appearances and 30 goals he transferred to Nottingham Forest in the 1937 close season.
Forest may have been his last team as the 1939 register has him and his wife Pattie as running the Beehive Hotel, Rother Valley.
