Adelia "Delia" Ann Borden was born in Marblehead, Ohio to Capt. Alexander and Amelia (Napier) Borden, their third child of nine. She lived in Ottawa County her entire life, in the cities of Port Clinton, Portage, Benton, Harris, Rocky Ridge, and Elmore. Delia served as Postmaster for Rocky Ridge, as had her father before her.
Delia never married. She sometimes had her sister "Lilla," her brother Douglas, and her niece Leah Stanbery living with her.
Delia died on February 4, 1899 in Rocky Ridge Ohio, and is buried in the Borden family plot at Lakeview Cemetery.
